Our Pool Closing Process

Closing a pool is more than just turning off the pump and walking away. We follow a complete process to ensure your pool stays in good condition:

• Balancing water chemistry to prevent algae and corrosion
• Shocking the pool with high doses of chlorine for long-term sanitation
• Lowering water level if needed for freeze protection
• Draining and winterizing equipment (pump, filter, heater)
• Blowing out plumbing lines to remove water that could freeze
• Adding winterizing chemicals to maintain water quality
• Installing a secure pool cover to keep debris out

Even in Florida's mild climate, freeze protection is important. We do get occasional cold snaps that can damage equipment if water is trapped inside. Our closing service accounts for this and protects your investment.

Pool Opening Service

When you're ready to use your pool again, we'll come out and handle the opening process. We remove the cover, clean it, and store it properly. Then we reassemble and start up your equipment. We test all systems to make sure everything is working correctly.

Your pool water gets a full workup. We test chemistry and add whatever chemicals are needed to get everything balanced. If the water looks cloudy or has algae starting, we treat it appropriately. Most pools are ready to swim within 24 to 48 hours of opening, depending on water condition.

Vacation Watch Service

If you're only going to be away for a few weeks rather than months, full closing might not be necessary. Our vacation watch service is the perfect solution. We visit your pool weekly or bi-weekly to maintain it while you're gone. We test and balance chemicals, clean the pool, check equipment, and make sure everything stays in good shape.
